Forgiveness
Even though you have tried
Broke me with every slash of your words
Burned me with every snicker at my clothes
with every whisper behind me
Even though you made me even resent myself
pushed me while i was falling
took everything you could away from me
Only left me to my tears and my pain
It hurt when I cried
It pained when I felt your wrath
I still smile when I look in the mirror
I still stand up after your every lashing
I may not be able to mean anything to you
But I mean a lot to me
so there for I rise above my pain
letting you go from my fears
you are not hated
you are not cursed
you are no longer apart of me
a lost thought with the wind
you may have harmed me
but I grow and age with maturity
and all wounds heal in time
so i won't hold the scars forever
