Meanwhile in jazz band...
raindrops on the roof
leafy pages turning
nobody has a clue
that its really you im yearning
music fills my soul
silence fills my ears
my body says its cold
my eyes say no to tears
right now the song thats playing
is the silent looks we give
which is better than us saying
for music we all live
but you and i know much more
or maybe im the only one
the raindrops dont stain this floor
its outside that they run
silence is the same thing
or maybe thats a lie
for i can only sing
when i dont think i can cry
but the rain does its job for me
so i can glance scretly at you
right now im able to be let be
which only happens for a few
nails on the concrete
or maybe they are rubber bands standing in the street
raising up my hands
there is no fear here
only what i let in
but now i can pour out
and let my life begin
