I've heard there are troubles of more than one kind, some come from the front and some come from behind, but I've bought a big bat, I'm all ready you see, now my troubles are going to have troubles with me. -Dr. Seuss

Some advocate pencils
For they allow perfection
You can't take back words said
But you can erase those written

Some would employ that logic
To promote the use of ink
In reality the past is gone
So before you write, think

Others say pens
Because they show humanity
Accept and embrace error
Acknowledge our mortality

Personally, I'm a fan of
Pencil sketches coated in
Super fine Sharpie then
Filled in with fresh crayons

Because then it's perfect
As well as permanent
And it's colorful, not smudgeable
And youthful to its core

I think this is lovely. The topic is not a serious one, and yet I would not call this a comical poem. The words employed are efficient, yet they flow nicely. I do not quite see what you are getting at at the end of the second verse. The rhymes is nice, though. My other bit of advice is to use more punctuation. I have the same issue, and it took me a while to warm up to the idea. I am now conviced, however, that it has improved my writing. Very nice work as a whole.     P.S. I have a haiku posted entitled "Fluent in Dance". If you would care to take a look, I would be very grateful. No pressure, though. Thanks! :)
