Changes
My heart is broke.
Shattered into pieces.
And yet I still love you.
What have I become?
What have people become?
We take what we have for granted.
Now everything we have is gone.
There's nothing left.
I'm picking up the pieces of a shattered heart and a broken soul.
Pieces that should have never been broken or shattered.
It's going to take years to clean all of this up.
Were we meant to be empty handed?
I took everything into consideration.
Every precaution necessary
And this is where it gets me?
Standing in the pouring rain
Waiting for things to change
Change is sometimes a good thing.
But in this case we've changed for the worse.
Everything I used to know, is different now.
I don't know who I am anymore.
What happened to the old me?
The careless and free me?
The happy me?
The me that didn't see her flaws?
I can't stand to look at myself these days.
I can't seem to grasp the feeling of losing touch.
Is there anyway to stop this feeling?
Will I ever be the old me again?
