Confusion
He is sweet
Sweet as sugar
He makes me smile
He makes me laugh
He lifts my spirits
He keeps me warm in the freezing cold
Although when I’m with him
I feel at times ignored
He says he loves me
Does he really?
He seems distracted
He cuts our kisses short
Too worried about being late
He is smart
He is kind
His kiss feels like soft rain
But my heart longs for another’s kiss
The one I long for is also sweet
He is also kind
He too is smart
He only ever stops our kisses to stroke my face
To look into my eyes
I can tell he loves me by the look in his eyes
The twinkle in his eyes when he looks at me
Always so persistent
Always needs me
Never ignores me
Never forgets me
His kiss is so different
I miss the need in it
I don’t know what to do
For I love them both
I don’t know what to do
For I cannot hurt either of them
I cannot hurt the people I love
Help me to decide
I don’t know what to do
They both hold me so tight
So close
One has hurt me, one has not
But I am afraid he will
I’m afraid he will hurt me
So afraid
I wait for him to become tired of me
Wait for him to become bored
To move on to someone better
Someone prettier, smarter, kinder
I wait
