This Feeling
I like the feeling you get in your chest,
After you laugh really hard
It leaves your heart feeling,
Open,
Free,
New,
The only thing holding it back,
Is a thin ribcage
Sometimes I think my heart was
Locked up
With everything imaginable to
Cover it up
But I thought how it would be
If my family left me,
On their own accord
I got scared
Felt my heart shrink in on
Itself
Maybe my heart isn’t closed off
As I thought
I know I’ll forget this feeling
Later on
So I’ll savor this feeling
While it lasts,
This feeling you get in your chest
After you laugh really hard
