The Lion Slaughtered The Lamb
And so the lion slaughtered the lamb.
Her breathing was unsteady, she was so unsure.
He cooed words of reassurance, and lowered her to the floor.
And so the lion slaughtered the lamb.
She’d been told a lot about these things,
And now the moment was finally here.
She wasn’t prepared.
She didn’t want it to be this way.
She was afraid.
He’d done this a thousand times.
And now to do it once more.
He knew everything to say.
But here’s the fault in the line,
Every word was entirely fake.
He vowed to tear her apart,
And take the thing he was searching for from the very start.
And so the lion slaughtered the lamb.
Everything moved way to fast.
She promised this would be the very last.
“This is so messed up,” she barley whispered.
And so the lion slaughtered the lamb.
