Shutters
It started with the black velvet which enveloped the
Heavy shutters; Only in their main surfaces,
All unnoticed before.
My slumbering valet. My incipient delirium,
perhaps,
Came to dissipate the dreamy stupor.
If not to sleep, I should rest
in contemplation of these pictures,
To light the tongues of the
Ones now long gone.
They were confounded, subdued;
Dreading only the pallet and brushed.
