Strength
I was sitting by the window
Just sitting.
Actually,
Just watching.
Watching the tiny droplets of water
Fall from the sky and
Slide down the glass
In a race to the bottom.
And I remembered.
I remembered tiny rivers of water
Much like these,
But saltier,
Running down my face.
That day you left me.
And it’s happening again.
But this time
I’m not afraid to admit
That they’re called
Tears.
