-You-
Each day you gave me more
More than enough for forever
But you saw potential for something much, much greater
You saw it inside of me
I am strong because you pushed me to be
Never letting me quit, or say I’m through
No matter the test, no matter the trial
You told me in the end it would all be worth while
I am wise because you taught me all I know
You walked the path so wouldn't’t have to go it alone
I make mistakes, but I learn from them just as I do from you
But I don’t let them stop me on my journey through life, and neither did you
I am optimistic because you showed me the silver lining through the clouds,
You taught me to hold my head high
Told me that it would work out for the better in the end
Even when I learned the bitter truth
