You let me in,
I can see more clearly
Who you want to be
And what you’re needing from me.

I shake a bit
And the tears start falling,
The night is dark
But the stars are glowing.

The rain is loud
On the roof of my old car.

And share our secrets,
Our painful times and deepest regrets.

Just trying to fight
Back the memories that are rushing through your mind.

My fingertips trace lines.
In my bravest voice
I say it’ll be just fine.
I wonder if you believe me…
