Wish denied
A feeling deep down inside,
Yearning for something more
The young boy looking for attention
His parents stare blankly at the TV screen ignoring him
The boy tries to shut off the TV
But it was out of reach, like his parents
As the boy grew his reach increased
Yet, he still couldn’t reach his parents
Dark thoughts clouded the boy
As he walks down in the middle of the road
His last thought past as the blaring headlights and the screaming car came by
He lay on the pavement breathless
His parents turn off the TV
But it is too late…
