Untitled
Life is a piece of glass,
So fragile,
Each one different,
Shiny, transparent, opaque
Always in danger of shattering
Life is a river
So strong and sure
Starting straight, headstrong
As years go by, it starts to twist and turn;
Finding its own path;
Always changing
Life is a house of cards
So delicate
The cards precariously stacked upon one another.
A simple breeze capable of destruction
This comes to mind as I ponder these past years
Thinking of all the shards of glass falling to the earth,
All the dams built up,
The breeze steadily increasing to wind.
Then this year;
The water flowing over;
The house of cards rebuilt,
This time with glue
The falling glass landing in a sort of mosaic
Depicting that six pointed star
Life is many things,
Delicate, fragile, strong, but mostly
Resilient
