Its better to have loved and lost,
than not to have loved at all,
its great to watch a good thing grow,
but harder to see a better thing fall,
when we was suppose to pick it up,
why is it we dropped the ball,
why is it we were runnin' straight,
but didnt see the up and coming wall,
that caused our ways to seperate,
like a blockage,
i wish i would of saw this before,
would of done anything to stop this,
but my love for you,
i never truely lost it,
just dissolved into the dark abyss,
as everyone stood by to become a witness,
to have seen the greatest tragedy,
but to never be heard,
like taking away flight,
from a specialized bird,
even though god said for it not to be,
I'd wish he change his word.
