No One to Confide In
No one knew what happened to us
No one could understand
We walk through this world
With no one to confide in
A wall built up for protection
Since they can’t understand us
They judge us and sentence us
They call us teenagers and rebels
We are not bad and aren’t rebels
We’re just people who have been through more than them
We’ve been through the worst
We’ve suffered pain unimaginable
We’re a damaged and broken soul
We’ve been crushed and shattered
Pieces that are too sharp
Pieces that are too small
We’re starting anew
Trying to forget
But trying to remember
Letting go of the pain
But holding onto the memory
The sweet memory of you.
