A good friend, someone you care about
or just someone you humor
in hopes they go away?
Was it true?
What you said, about caring for me
or did you just forget
because she came along?
Are you there?
When I call, supposedly listening to me
or do you just placate me
with pretend kind words?
Was it worth it?
Leaving me behind, leaving everyone here behind
or were you never here
in the first place?
Are you happy?
Really truly happy, behind your soft smile
or do you hide from everyone
the way you hide from me?
