All Wrong
What’s happening here is not normal or expected
An exception to all the rules my mind has created
I don’t how long this marvel will last
For today, a week, or dare I say forever (I can only hope)
…For now, let’s just take this sacred moment in
Cement the feeling of our hands intertwined
Into your memory, maybe someday you’ll smile at it
Let our laughter catch the cool breeze
As this summer, our summer passes by
We are all wrong for each other, nothing alike
I should really leave and find someone more…
Suitable… for me, but my willpower is far too week
So let’s sit a while longer and find comfort
In the silence flowing between us, with the words unsaid
Right now, being with you is as good as it gets
