Begging me to Stay
Nervously walking to the Pub,
Praying you’re working,
Hoping you’re not,
But
You’re sitting outside.
Now, what do I do?
Turn around, take the alley,
Go through the back door
And hope you don’t see me
Or
Casually walk by you,
Nervous and weak,
Throw no glances your way and
Hope you don’t say anything
Or
Just give in because you already know
I’m here and that look in your eyes
Is begging me to stay.
