Someone to cry when you die
As the blood flows
And the life trails away
The tears start to glide
Each drop a glistening diamond
Carving a path on the tanned faces
Falling in an agonizing slowness
The same path it traces
Seeping into oblivion
And yet, the precious don’t go wasted
Every splash that makes the ground
A tribute to the life consumed
To the love that once was
And the laughter that refused to linger
To the heart that once held
A thunderstorm of feelings
Each bead that leaves the eye
Marking the importance of the taken life
For a death not mourned
Means a condemned existence
A death without tears to spill
Marks a life with no avail
