Photograph
I sit and go through this box
I come across an envelope
of photos I forgot about
I reach in and pull
one out, flip it over and stare
there staring back at me
is you and I when I was young
I don't remember these times
but looking at the photo
I'm guessing they were good times
we are both smiling
now all that is gone
all I got are these photos
and fading memories
I wants those times again
I want to be held and loved once again
I want photos from my
teenage years to look
back on as an adult
not baby pictures
nobody seems to understand or care
I begin to cry
I sit here and stare
at this photograph
