I don't have ambitions or desires.
Being a poet isn't my ambition,
it's my way of being alone.
~ Fernando Pessoa ~

“It's amazing,” they say, “she keeps coming back for more.”
More what, you may ask.
More pain, heartbreak, loss, emptiness, loneliness, hurt.
More damage, suffering, trauma, desperation, sadness.
More depression, grief, sorrow.
It’s amazing, I think, that I'm able to still get through the day.
When you left me, I cried.
I bawled, I curled up and tried to forget that you existed.
We stood beside each other for a year,
But it felt like millions.
I helped you, you helped me, we got each other
Through the rough patches and hard times.
The drama and heart break and betrayal.
Now you broke my heart and betrayed me.
But to you its all my fault,
I caused this, I cried because of what I did.
But it wasn’t me, it wasn’t you, it was us both.
We tried to work it out, but it shoved us further
Apart.
This isn’t a love story,
It’s the story of a friendship gone awry.
A friendship that is lost forever, like
An ancient city.

Ancient cities are long gone, but still talked about. The same with former frienships, they may gone but they're definately not forgotten.
