An Exchange
The fear won't go away,
with a hand to hold,
a person to tell,
the memories I never told.
The nightmares follow me,
every single night,
I re-live that moment,
that causes me so much fright.
They whispered not to tell,
as they kissed my shivering skin,
I didn't open the door,
I didn't let them in.
I woke to see their faces,
to see their nasty smile,
I'll live all my life with fear,
in exchange they got pleasure for a while.
So much fear to tell a friend,
for what they'll say,
that they'll never do that,
and that everything will be okay.
But I can't trust,
they might hurt me,
take advantage,
the next ones to be.
My heart pounds so fast,
when one is near,
scared they'll give me,
the exchange for fear.
