100 Years
You were given a limit of one hundred years
To conquer your heart, lies and fears.
But don't get this wrong,
Some people aren't given that long.
Their time isn't measured by personality,
If it was, we'd all be granted immortality.
We all know by now that nothing lasts forever,
Your precious time can be taken whenever.
So take the days you're blessed with
And write it your way, a beautiful myth.
It's the story of your life and the events in it,
How you live it and all you will benefit.
Even as the author, you have no clue when the tale you composed
Will end and the book will close.
Nobody considers the day it will all end.
It could be tomorrow, it could be ten years, no one can depend.
One of the saddest facts
Is that no one can avoid these attacks.
They'll all come for us someday.
Just be sure you've done all you wanted before the decay.
