Where I Remember You
Looking through my living room
I don’t see couches, walls, pillows
But I see memories.
Like a silent film
We flicker past my eyelids,
Pressed against each other in the hallway
Kissing on the floor
You’re face as I turn to shut you out.
And the phrases we used to speak
Whisper in my ear.
“I love you.”
“Come closer.”
“Leave.”
This is no longer my home.
This is where I remember you.
