Purity of Rain
Innocence is embedded within me
Yet my transparent form doesn’t allow me to be invisible
Soft silence is the message I wish to portray
On the onset of my arrival my friend wind greets me
His breath whistles through the forest
The leaves, twigs, and branches shiver in terror
My name is no secret
The highly paid weather guy in a small box tells my name to the world
Privacy of my existence was foretold
It was exposed like the releasing of sins from Pandora’s box
Before my arrival, wet precipitation is generated
It welcomes me to this world
Cleansing souls and mending broken hearts is my one true purpose
I am hope, washing people’s lives
It is I who changes lives, evil or good is my choice
Within my being is the decision for the remnants of mankind
I am here as I wash away with each new forecast
