"The Bittersweet Between Your Teeth" (June 10, 2011)
Suffocating from her fears
She yearns for understanding
Wishing she was bleeding
But regretting the scars.
No one seems to care or see
That inside she's breaking
Trying to be the best for everyone else
But abusing herself from the inside-out.
"She's lovely and perfect"
So she's been told.
She feels as if she's been flawed
Past the point of healing
No sympathy, pity, or attention is she looking for.
Just a shoulder to lean on
Or a voice of reassurance to say...
"Everything will be okay".
