Unfamiliar Town
I first met you in the alleyway
Just about to break down
And with my heart, I felt for you
In this unfamiliar town
Your eyes were red, your skin cut
But I had to let you know
I stayed with you all that night
Because I couldn't let you go
I will always be there for you
I'll make sure you never frown
I'm there even when you're alone
In this unfamiliar town
You called me up as tears swelled
And I told you what to do
Take that knife and put it down
I said I'm here for you
Pray with me, and I promise you
I will never let you drown
God won't give what can't be handled
In this unfamiliar town
Further on you've gotten brighter
Keeping that smile on your face
But now I ask for your help
Help me keep my steady pace
You found me in the alleyway
Just about to break down
And with our hearts, we fell in love
In this oh, so familiar town
