Havn't Lived
You haven’t lived until you’ve had their skin on yours,
When it’s so hot that it leaves sores
You haven’t lived until you’ve had their breath on your neck
‘Till you’ve had their lips seek and peck
You haven’t lived until you’ve heard their breathless sigh
Or felt their legs wrap around your thighs.
HA!
You Haven’t Lived
You haven’t lived ‘till you’ve loved, lost, and gained.
Until you’ve seen your kids walk, or seen your mom pained.
You haven’t lived! You haven’t lived!
You haven’t lived until you’ve been in a place filled with prayer.
You haven’t lived until you’ve seen human beings do care.
‘Till all your walls come tumbling down
‘Till you feel the soil soft and brown
You haven’t lived! You haven’t lived!
You haven’t lived until you’ve had a family welcome you home.
Until you see the whole worlds there for you to roam.
Life is not easy but living is grand.
It’s our last chance to shine our last chance to stand.
Now do as I say love fast and give.
So that you’ll have the right to tell the world that you live.
