Cliffs
She wanted to taste the world
Feel it
Dig down using her bare hands
Create a cove for secretive pleasure
As heads turned and hearts rolled
She kept her nose pointed briskly in the air
Her nails became screws
Her knees became bulldozers
Her heart became an engine
She clambered up to the top of the cliff
And looked at her masterpiece below
The world she created with her own two hands
The clay she molded into stars
The dirt she made pearls
But no, this was not a world
This was a mere wish
That she could be unlike her own self
An imperfect little girl
In a big beautiful world
