Pandora's Blessing
When all the evils of the world came loose,
Everyone was in tumult,
But from that cursed box,
Hope also flew out,
And as the world suffers over the years,
People still had hope,
Hope for a better day,
For every cloud has a silver lining,
All you need to do is look.
From the days of the Revolutionary War,
When Americans were trudging through the blood soaked snow,
Trudging, trudging, trudging,
Not one of them lost hope,
That one day America will be free.
And that day did came,
But then again,
We all knew it would.
Even now, Americans still trudge through the day,
Trudge, trudge, trudge,
Through the downs of life,
Despair, death, sickness, and so much more,
But the optimism is always there.
Can’t be denied,
No siree,
For what are humans without any hope?
For every bad thing
There is a good thing.
And as we trudge through
Trudge through,
Trudge through,
We look to the bright future ahead.
And we bless Pandora,
For her box of hope
