"I write because I want more than one life; I insist on a wider selection. It's greed plain and simple. When my characters join the circus, I'm joining the circus." -Anne Tyler

The tide in which
The boundaries of human emotion
Cross
The threshold of insanity
And the sands of logic

The very essence of a spirit once held
Trapped in the souls of mindless currents
Drawn by the moon
Pushed by the fish

Three sisters
One brother
And their many children
Streams that long
To once again reunite
With their foretold ancestors

Resounding lengths of a burden
Passed on through generation
Causing the seas to lose hope
One day they will be free

Pearly white crests betray
What peril underneath has
Center of unearthing
Inhumane qualities

Wrecking havoc
Seeking destruction
Torturous to all
Whipping with the wind
Sky
And earth
To create a new paradise

I have a minor fear of the ocean, so I thought writing this would help. It kind of did, but it was fun to write anyway. A thousand things could be lurking under the ocean that we don't even know about; it's interesting to think about it all.
