Nothing but a Memory
If somebody were to ask me
How many times I thought
About you, in the past months
I could simply answer once
Because hun, you haven’t left
My brain since the day I met you
And yes you may be gone physically
But mentally I still feel you
Right at the tip of my brain
And the telepathic link we shared
Hasn’t been broken and its hard
To tell myself that I am no longer
With you in some way because I can
Feel you, from miles and miles away
But I must tell myself that this is how,
This is how its suppose to be and maybe
One day I will be okay with that
And the link will be broken but it’s hard
Knowing that one day you
May be nothing but a memory
