Like a weed with long, selfish roots, you choke the life out of me.
With dagger-like fangs sunk in my flesh, you suck me dry.
Your hate filled words are coarse, unyielding hands that drag me under, and drown me.
But somehow, we are still bound to one another.

To separate two hearts like ours would be a crime;
Murder in the first degree.
Stealing what's left,
Of what should never be.

Our hearts, like dancers have entwined.
Vessels and arteries tangling with each other in a labyrinth with no exit.
My hearts blossoms wildflowers in your black heart.
Your weeds wedge deep into mine.

To separate two hearts bound so closely would be a crime.

This was just something that popped into my head. It describes a somewhat abusive relationship, and one partner's desperation to keep the other despite the harm the other causes.
