My life is far from perfect
nothings ever right,
I feel so lonely all the time
morning, noon, and night,
I wish the hurt would go away
but it feels like it's just here to stay,
my heart's been broken, repaired, then smashed
it's like repairing broken glass,
sometimes I wish it all would end
if my time came I'd be happy again,
but then I stop and think awhile
through every storm and every trial,
I stop and think of all I've got
and in the end there are a lot,
so I keep going day by day
hoping, praying, to find my way,
for I have come to learn and see
that my future depends on solely me.
