as i dream

slipping subtly from reality,
and entering entranced into dream,
into this realm of slight suspicions.
i am entrancingly intrigued
by passing words, walking about on legs,
by wishes, flying on wings,
by beauty, bubbling all around... but a certain calamity is calling me back,
back to the place i placidly left, i find myself meandering meekly,
nosing my way nonchalantly through, through winding street and wily river, back to the earth which i call home.
