My Voices
Ghosts flutter on my insides,
Monsters whisper in my ear,
My quiet pulse gets louder,
What are the voices that I hear?
Jagged scars lace around me.
Blood stains bring back memories.
One breath to break the silence,
This icy brings me to clarity.
Striving for clean and shiny,
Maggots and rotting leak out.
My arms wrap around me.
The voices are beginning to shout.
Coated in disgusting,
My complication unravels.
Cities stare in wonder,
Familiars turn and marvel.
Cold and shivering,
My sky turns black and grey.
Darkness comes down around.
I want the voices to go away.
The shouting's too much to handle,
Irrationally acting in fear.
My world blurs, then fades.
Finally, the voices disappear.
