Mommies and Daddies
I had another dream
A kindly woman was in it
She had gold hair
And bright blue eyes
She told me she'd seen my future
I believed her
She said I had a husband
I asked her if I had kids
She said I had two
I looked at her and laughed
I told her she was very beautiful
But that beauty must have made her stupid
I told her
Everybody knows mommies and daddies
Don't love each other
She smiled and said
You'll see
Then she kissed my forehead
And pushed me into a blue pool of water
I couldn't swim
So I turned into a fish
I laughed at the bubbles
That wobbled out of my mouth
But nobody could hear me
So I cried
I was a fish
