My sodden eyes, my heart, my lips.
My Daughter, Blessed Daughter!
Pushing away, falling apart like sounds,
The sounds I can only feel before the nerve dies.
My Daughter! Help thy Father!
The man who gave you life!
Has it been thus?
And such a life that death does seem relief?
