Lonely Angel
I see a man with a strange demeanor
Short brown hair with sad eyes
He walks along aimlessly
tilting left and right
His shoulders slumped
a picture of sadness
as he walks by
I notice his eyes
deep twin pools of brown
Eyes that had seen more
More heartache, sadness, torture
but had also known love and joy
His coat sweeps the ground
as he passes by
I look at his retreating back
I can see wings of pure white
Then I blink
and he’s gone.
