Fading to Black
Her heart slowly fades to black,
Every mean word you say paints another black streak.
She lives in a home filled with pain and hurt.
She's grown strong over the years, but now it's just too much to handle.
Her heart hurts and she cries out in pain,
Black blood begins to pulse through every vein.
"God, help me!" she's cried time and time again.
But still no change.
Her heart continues to slowly fade to black.
What her persecutors don't know,
Is that she's only one push away from crumpling to the ground, like a delicate, withered black rose.
