Thy Silence
The cicada’s buzz in my ear
I feel the end’s already here
The subtle crunch of dead grass
Betrays thoughts of the lost lass
And yet my end I do not fear
No ‘tis terror for your fate my dear
Never shalt I accept what may pass
That act wouldst appear quite crass
M’lady stride over to thine mirror
Into yonder reflective depths do peer
Shall you find a smile in the shined brass
Or just a lonely and bitter young lass
Harken dost the pain of your anger sear
My heart and soul into brittle glass
Now before thy silence shall it shatter
