I’ve never been good with goodbyes
I hate to see people leave
Its just way too hard

Knowing they won’t be there anymore
Memories to comfort me in the night
I guess this is an end to one chapter
And a beginning of a new

But I just remember that goodbye will
Never be forever...its just goodbye for now
Because people come and go,
but family never says goodbye. Family
never really leaves your side

Another year has flown by all too fast
Another year closer to graduating
Another year that has had its own challenges


Even though we are saying goodbye
Its not the end to everything we know
It’s just life and you have to say
Goodbye.

No matter how much it might hurt
No matter how much you cry
No matter how tight of hugs you give
No matter what you say
Its still goodbye

The moment comes and goes
Making a memory out of it is what matters
Embracing the moment with open arms
Treating it like a warm friend

Instead of letting the moment pass you by
Because once it’s gone, you can’t get it back
No matter how much you beg
No matter what you say
It’s still gone

But I’ve learned that goodbye will never be forever.
Because true family never really leaves your side.
