You Ignorant Bastard
"I wish I never had you". That is all you can say to me?
When I was still toping class you said that was my destiny.
To take the lead, to be a winner.
No longer would we be poor, begging for dinners.
But then things went wry and I dropped out of school.
Wry, oh why?
To support YOU.
You whine and beat, sometimes shout as well.
You make no sense, and your presence makes our house a living hell.
I do what I can to escape it all, I wish I could say the same for Mama though.
You say you pay the bills, you great big jerk, even though you've seen me, Brother and Mama in and out of work.
Let the chips fall where they may, I wish that were just a saying.
Because now you also gamble.
You say you play small, but what happens when you lose?
You shout and scream and load up on booze,
Then almost instantly, you go right out and buy new shoes.
I wish I were faking these to fit the rhymes,
But the truth is such,
And I can no longer say I love you all that much.
Not much, not a little, or even at all.
I would say this to you, Dad, but you would only threaten me till I shut my damn mouth.
What made you so mean and cold, with no sensitivity?
Is it because you are growing old?
Perhaps senility?
Surely that is not true.
Not old enough to stop commanding Mama around, because just an hour ago she was running lights to get to an appointment for you.
She is your secretary now, the wife part being secondary.
Brother takes after you- not that he likes that at all.
Although he at least understands limits.
He does not mistreat us like you do.
He does not throw tantrums like you do.
Me and he are only teenagers but still we work more hours than you do.
But can we ever mention that?
No, cuz in YOUR house, thats YOUR rule.
Nothing is allowed to question you.
For if we do, we will have to hide yet another bruise.
So tell me, Father, what exactly is it that you do?
You cold, short-tempered, ignorant b******.

Now, we have calmed the situation greatly and life is getting better, tho he is not.
I pray everyday for those stuck in worse daily predicaments.
God Bless.
