Falling Apart
I look at the dried up, flaking rose, and I think of you:
It’s falling apart just like me.
I see it and think of
How you always used to be here,
And now you’re just gone.
Maybe this rose is still here to remind me,
About us,
And make sure that I never forget
What you did,
Or what you said, that made me so happy.
Because those are some of the things
I don’ want to forget.
