Walking.
Walking alone.
Walking alone and yet… someone’s there.
You are a witness.
You are a witness to something unmentionable…
An unmentionable crime.
An unmentionable crime that will forever scar your belief in ethics.
It’s illegal.
It’s illegal and incredibly stupid.
Watching.
Watching alone.
Watching alone as a masked man darts out from a store, pockets stuffed, shortly after gunfire.
Alarms rise through the air, traveling far.
The sounds find his ears.
He runs faster.
The sounds find your ears.
You stand there.
Unsure.
Scared.
Alone.
