Breathe In

Get to the surface
Stay afloat
Don’t let your head go under.
Clear your mind,
Don’t panic
--Yeah right.
Word after Word
Passes me by
More and More spring up,
-some unknown to even myself.
I sink down,
--everything goes dark.
My airway starts to close.
I scream for help.
--no sound comes out.
No one there
No one to help.
They
Push me under
Grab my throat,
Steal all my air.
Eating my alive,
Those savage beasts,
--Drowning in my lies.--
