Because of You
You left me with out a trace
You broke your promise we once made
Did the long summer nights mean nothing to you
Because they were every thing to me
I held on to the memories like my life depended on them
You were my everything
You took my heart like it was a toy
We shared all of our deepest secrets and I only told the truth
But can you say the same was everything that came out of your mouth a lie
If you could only return what rightfully belongs to me
I may be able to return to the what once felt like me
But I know I can never be the same
I promised to my self I would stay true to you
But you no where close did the same thing
And now well I’m writing this poem I miss you more then ever
But why should I
You stepped around on my heart you tore it all apart
But with out my heart I can’t even start
Please just let me go
It is starting to feel like it was all just a dream
But to my disbelief I look down and see the scars that cover my arms and I know it was because of you
