Walking Winter
My heart sings to the whispering leaves,
While the blue butterflies freeze,
I lost you in the winter breeze…
Every footstep feels completely hollow,
There’s a light in the dark that I follow,
In the illusion of my cold sorrow…
I look into your eyes upon their shimmer,
I see myself thinner,
For my heart walks with the Walking Winter…
I never looked back,
And I never saw that your heart had a crack,
With nothing in it to abstract…
I have a dream to catch,
And even without the heart you snatched,
I still have my soul attached…
Your beauty got me lost,
There was a hole that I stumbled across,
I prayed to cover the burn in frost…
