The chains of ignorance
Who do you think you are?
Wearing wool sunglasses in
The morning light.
Stumbling over pebbles,
And burning in the
Rubble from far away.
But you keep walking on,
With your eyes in your hands
And your hands behind your back
So you can’t brace the fall.
No doors to open
Or new windows to reveal
Just lock them up
Along with your stars and heart.
Who do you think you are?
So blind to see, to know -
You are hiding behind
Your own prison bars.
