Through My Eyes
Through my eyes,
You can see what goes through my perspective.
The way things really happen when you turn your back on us.
The things the call me and my friends.
Through my eyes,
You can see how they drop the innocent, sweet façade.
The way they truly treat others.
The things they start.
The way they deceive you.
Through my eyes,
You can see the hurt—the pain in their prey’s face.
Their betrayal of hearing a lies from gossipers.
Their agony of others shunning them,
Like they had a disease. An illness that could kill.
Infected. Unwanted. Hated.
Through my eyes,
You can see why no one tells an Experienced One.
Why we say “No, everything’s fine!” or “I’m okay.”
We are afraid of not being believed.
That you will believe the One of Lies. The One of False Innocence.
For they are like sharks—predators who play with their food before devouring them.
Through my eyes,
I want the Experienced Ones to see…
What I see.
